As far as body positive role models go, it doesn’t get much better than Dascha Polanco. The sartorially forward actress showed up to The Blonds’ New York Fashion week in a long coat and a bodysuit. Looking flawless and confident, Dascha opened up her coat and gave the camera a closer look at her bodysuit. Not only is this look everything because Dascha never subscribes to society’s thoughts on what she should and shouldn’t wear, but it’s also a subtle ode to Selena.
She takes inspiration from one of Selena’s more iconic looks. And that’s even without getting her hands on the upcoming M·A·C Selena collection.
If you thought we were out of compliments for Dascha, you’d be wrong. Because she eventually turned around to reveal that the back of her coat featured a glitzy Virgin Mary.
And that’s how Dascha won this year’s NYFW.
