It might make for some juicy online gossip, but there’s no truth to the recent rumors that Cardi B and Billie Eilish have a beef with one another, according to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper herself.

On Tuesday (May 3), Cardi B posted a message online to reject the rumors that Eilish threw shade at her during an afterparty following the 2022 Met Gala the night prior.

In a video circulating the internet, Cardi B, who was hosting the party, is seen making a short speech telling attendees to enjoy the celebration. A few seconds later, the video jumps to another angle where Eilish can be seen mouthing the words “So weird,” which led people to believe she was ridiculing Cardi.

Although Eilish was doing no such thing, the video quickly spread across social media. “I hate the internet cause one, how do y’all turn one of the most lit parties into drama?” Cardi B tweeted. “Two, Ocean eyes is the song I cater to my daughter. Three, Billie is my f–kin baby. Yesterday, from the met to the party, everything was drama free. Why do yall wanna turn everything into mess?”

Before Cardi B tweeted, Eilish left Cardi a voicemail to let her know that her words weren’t directed at her.

“Oh my God, I was really worried that you would see that,” Eilish said. “I was calling a lot of the people around you ‘weird’ because they were coming up to you with their phones like they wanted to shove them up your ass. And I wanted to tell them to look you in the face!”

Cardi B assured Eilish that she didn’t think she was mocking her. “The internet is trying to divide us,” she said. “They don’t understand that you are my baby!”

Now that everything is cleared up, the two divas should jump into a recording studio together and write a song about their fake feud. They can call it “YAP” since that’s what it seems like everyone is doing these days.
