Vanessa Bryant recently shared photos on her Instagram page of a trip she and her daughters Natalia, Capri, and Bianka took to Italy. The family visited the Italian city where her late husband and NBA superstar Kobe once lived as a child.
“Visited Reggio Calabria, a city my husband lived in when he was about 8 years old,” Vanessa wrote alongside a series of pictures, including one of Capri and Bianka posing on the street in the city.
Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died along with seven other people on January 26, 2020, when their helicopter crashed in the Calabasas area of Los Angeles.
Along with the photo of Capri and Bianka, Vanessa posted pictures of the city’s architecture and landscapes. Based on other images and videos Vanessa has shared over the last week, the Bryant ladies are making their way across the coast of Italy. They have been to towns like Amalfi and Maratea and the islands of Sicily, Capri, and Panarea.
Vanessa posted videos during their trip of Natalia riding on a jet ski, of their view across the ocean from their yacht, and pictures of the many delicious-looking meals they’ve enjoyed.
In one video, Bianka isn’t thrilled with the boat ride they just took in the Blue Grotto, a sea cave on the coast of Capri. When Vanessa asks her, “That was the worst?” Bianka responds: “Mom, next time we go to Italy, please do not take us in the Blue Grotto.” Vanessa and Natalia try to hold back their laughter at the cuteness overload.
Vanessa Bryant also posted as a caption on the Blue Grotto video that says that Bianka’s expression looks like “Daddy’s face.” We can see that Bianka is carrying on her daddy’s Black Mamba mentality.
