Calling out all rising Latine creators! The Bonita Project’s Bonita Amplifies Latinx Creator Fund 2024 is finally here, aiming to uplift the next generation of small BIPOC creators with a cash grant of $1,200 USD. Here’s everything you have to know to apply for the grant that wants to help fund and elevate your career.
The Bonita Amplifies Latinx Creator Fund is an initiative by the Latinx-owned media agency The Bonita Project, which was created by Danielle Alvarez in 2018. The Bonita Project’s mission is “to change how brands engage with multicultural communities by demonstrating their brand loyalty, social engagement, and purchasing power.” One of the ways the media agency is doing this is through its subsection called Bonita Amplifies, which is formed to support BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creatives through industry mixers, creator grants, and social features.
Since last year, The Bonita Project has given more than $5,000 USD to Black, Queer, and Latine creators. Moreover, their latest industry mixer was co-hosted by the University of Texas’ Hispanic student PR chapter (affected by the SB17 Texas legislation) in Austin, TX, and sponsored by Remezcla. It was their biggest industry mixer yet – and they’re not stopping their 2024 accomplishments there.
Now, they’re continuing their work with The Bonita Amplifies Latinx Creator Fund 2024. For this specific creator grant, the organization is seeking emerging and independent talent that are organically growing its social media presence, meaning they do not have a manager at the time of applying for the grant. For those interested in applying, the cash grant is exclusively for supporting U.S.-based Latine creators that have at least five thousand followers on their platform — whether it’s Instagram or TikTok.
The application is now live and will be open until December 15 at 11:59 p.m. PST. If you check all the boxes, make sure to apply for the creator grant here.
