Bad Bunny’s sixth album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS is almost here! On Jan. 3, the Puerto Rican icon released a short film to continue anticipating its release. The new visuals, written and directed by Bad Bunny and Arí Maniel Cruz Suárez, feature influential Puerto Rican filmmaker Jacobo Morales navigating his city and experiencing gentrification.
Benito has been heavily teasing his new album. After making his comeback on social media, he finally released the tracks “EL CLúB” and “PIToRRO DE COCO,” which feature traditional Puerto Rican genres like bomba and plena. Last week, he released the music video for “PIToRRO DE COCO,” where he celebrates New Year’s Eve in Puerto Rico while seemingly missing an ex. Not only that but he’s been dropping hints through location coordinates via Spotify, leading to social media users putting them all together to reveal his album’s tracklist.
Today (Jan. 3), he’s back with another teaser, this time in the form of a short film. The new film features more of Morales and his Puerto Rican toad friend Concho. The visuals start with Morales picking up a Puerto Rican flag from a field and discovering a wooden box. He’s shown talking to Concho – voiced by Kenneth Canales – about the island’s magic and how he regrets not taking enough photos to remember his memories. He shows Concho a wedding photo and then tells him he’ll be going to the panadería.
On the way to the local panadería, he hears different music genres in English, such as rock and country. He sees people barbecuing and notably talking in English. He also passes a couple talking in English. When he reaches the bakery, the cashier talks to him in English, giving him multiple options, like whole wheat and vegan quesitos, which he’s seemingly not used to. The cashier also doesn’t realize he’s referring to cheddar cheese when he tells her he wants “papa cheese.” He’s also stunned when he can’t pay with cash – but a local chimes in to pay for him and tells him, “¡Seguimos aquí!” showing resilience.

Towards the end of the video, he tells Concho that he misses listening to reggaeton music on full blast and the neighborhood’s overall sounds. Concho says that if he misses it, why doesn’t he drive with music blasting? He imagines him doing so, blasting an unreleased song that social media users are speculating features Dei V and Omar Courtz.
Benito is dropping DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS on Jan. 5.
