WATCH: Alejandro Sanz Gives Shakira Friendly Kiss on ‘Bésame’

Alejandro Sanz and Shakira are so back! On May 29, the Spanish star and Colombian pop star released a music video for their newest pop collaboration, “Bésame.”
“You can now WATCH BÉSAME. Available on all video platforms,” he announced in Spanish online. “You will also find it anchored in all the hearts that listen to us. THANK YOU 💋 Let’s spread kisses all over the world 💋.”
The new music video features the two icons in a black-and-white ambiance. The two long-time friends are seen on a stage in casual outfits, trading verses about wanting to be more than friends from the new rhythmic pop track. The duo shares charismatic looks, hugs, and dances that match their flirtatious lyrics like, “No lo pienses tanto y bésame / Que se acaben los misterios / Bésame de una vez.” At the end of the music video, Sanz gives Shakira a friendly kiss on her cheek.
The new collaboration is part of Sanz’s newest EP, ¿Y Ahora Qué? When asked about working with Shak, he said it was a matter of finding the right song to follow “La Tortura” and “Te Lo Agradezco, Pero No.” “We’d been talking for a while about working together again… We hadn’t found the right song that we both connected with,” he told Billboard. “It’s tough after making a song like ‘La Tortura’ to find the right reason to team up again. You don’t want to be too predictable or repeat the same thing, but you also want the new collaboration to be just as sweet.”
Social media users are praising the artists’ charisma. A YouTube user, merycarmenpalomarez1428, wrote in Spanish: “Definitely have to stay with someone who looks at you like Alejandro looks at Shakira ❤.” Another YouTube user, MajoRodriguez-ed5ht, commented: “Perfect chemistry, a very organic and simple video but it conveys so much complicity.
