Rosalía is ready to share her new era. On Oct. 20, the Spanish superstar revealed the official name, cover, and release date for upcoming new album, LUX. The new LP is set to drop on Nov. 7.

We finally got official news of Rosalía’s upcoming fourth album—and social media users are already speculating about the type of music it will feature. Will LUX be inspired by classical music or perhaps her flamenco roots? LUX, defined as “a unit of illumination equal to the direct illumination,” follows Rosi’s third album MOTOMAMI, which included popular hits like “BIZCOCHITO,” “SAOKO,” and “CHICKEN TERIYAKI.”

Though we don’t know where LUX will lead, social media users are already attempting to connect the dots. In an Instagram post from yesterday (Oct. 19), the Spanish star posted herself wearing a rosary necklace, listening to a live orchestra. This made people think her upcoming material will involve classic-inspired music. Furthermore, she posted sheet music of a song called “BERGHAIN” on her Substack last week, feeding the fan theory (and inspiring some users to interpret the notes). Between the theories above, the halo in her hair, and her notably white fits she wears recently, could Rosalía’s new chapter entail a rebirth or a more religious era

Other social media users think she’s going back to her flamenco roots. Earlier today (Oct. 20), on her way to reveal her album’s name and release, Rosalía livestreamed driving in Madrid while listening to various genres—including classical and flamenco music—which could be a clue to what’s to come. Now, we know that Rosi has blended flamenco and pop before in El Mar Querer, could she be plotting to reinvent classical music next?

While we don’t know for sure, we are less than a month from the grand release. We’ll keep an eye out for any new singles or hints ahead of LUX’s release.
