With Miss Universe 2025 taking place in Thailand, there have been a lot of questions about when exactly it will be airing and where to watch the telecast. Will it be at a really complicated time because of the time difference? Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s pageant.
For audiences in the United States, the 2025 Miss Universe pageant will be available to stream via Telemundo and Peacock on Nov. 20. But you won’t have to get up early to watch it. Instead, the finals will take place at 8 a.m. in Thailand on Nov. 21. That means coverage will begin at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT in the U.S. on Nov. 20. Preliminary coverage on Telemundo starts an hour before the show.
The contest will be held at the exhibition and convention center Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. Carlos Adyan, Danilo Carrera, Jessica Carrillo, and Jacqueline Bracamonte will be the hosts.
And if you’re interested in the preliminary and National Costume Competitions, those will be airing Wednesday, November 19. They will be livestreamed on the Telemundo App, the @telemundoentretenimiento YouTube and Telemunfo Al Día FAST Channels. It will be at 1 p.m. Thailand time. That’s 1 a.m. ET.
Miss Universe 2025 has been at the center of controversy this year, after Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch was called “dumb” by pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil during a pre-competition event that was streamed live on the Miss Universe Thailand Facebook page. Bosch, and several other contestants–including the reigning Miss Universe–walked out of the event in protest.
Shortly after, the Miss Universe pageant removed Itsaragrisil and released a statement. “The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) reaffirms its commitment to working closely with the host community, the Miss Grand International Organization (MGI), and all local partners to ensure the continued success of the 74th Miss Universe competition,” the statement read in part.
This year’s competition is set to feature 120 women representing countries from around the world, including the first-ever Miss Universe Latina, competing to be Victoria Kjær Theilvig successor.
