Squid Game: The Challenge just crowned its season 2 winner, Bronx-Dominican Contestant, Perla Figuereo. Born in Santo de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, Figueroa took home the grand prize of $4.56 million.

Figuereo, known as player 072, competed against four other contestants, including Vanessa Clements (017), Steven Jones (183), Dajah Graham (302), and Trinity Parriman (398) in a series of games for the final episode. The semi-final game was introduced after dinner, where the contestants played a game of chance with black and gold coins. The game took an unexpected turn, as Trinity Parriman (player 398) sacrificed his chance to win by giving all the contestants the right answer to advance in the game.

In the final game, “red light, green light,” contestants attempted to swiftly race to the end, without getting lasered off by the doll. Figuereo was neck in neck with Vanessa Clements (player 017), but ultimately came out victorious  as the winner of the $4.56 million Jackpot.

The Bronx Dominicana has worked in media, and is currently a model signed with Storm LA. She has modeled for Rare Beauty and Ceremonia, and has also worked on the Premios Juventud red carpet in 2024.

After winning the grand prize, the final episode took viewers to Perla’s family home in the Dominican Republic, where she greeted her family after the big win. Perla’s twin brother, Jeffrey, who also competed in the show, joined her in celebrating her big win.
