In just over a decade, The Warning has gone from an internet sensation known for rock covers to one of the world’s biggest rock bands. Now, Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villarreal are making history with the announcement of a show at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros—becoming the first all-female Mexican band to headline the stadium.

It all began with a YouTube video of three young sisters from Monterrey performing Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.” Daniela was 15, Paulina 12, and Alejandra 10 when Remezcla interviewed them in 2015, shortly after they went viral and began sharing their original material. While the novelty of seeing three young women rock out to songs by Muse and Ozzy Osbourne gave them an initial boost, their musicianship and commitment set them apart and made them an act worth following.

Over the next decade, The Warning evolved from a viral cover band into an internationally established rock act, releasing chart-topping albums, touring extensively, opening for bands like Foo Fighters and Muse, headlining their own tours, playing international festivals, and building a fanbase around their original music and identity.

Now, The Warning will headline Estadio GNP Seguros on Feb. 5, 2027, as part of their Everything’s Falling World Tour. They will be joined by another all-female rock band, Los Angeles’ The Linda Lindas, as the opening act.

Looking back at our conversation with The Warning, it’s remarkable to reflect on their journey—and their mindset 11 years ago. “At first we wanted to do this to be famous,” Daniela said at the time. “But now our main goal is to be the best musicians we can be and be better as a band,” Paulina added, saying they wanted to make a living doing what they loved eventually.
