Many of us assumed that after the death of Federico Rodríguez, a.k.a. Catar_Sys, Fauna would cease to exist. However, thanks to the support of his colleagues and friends and his perseverance, Cristian de Negro, a.k.a. Color Kit—the remaining half of the Argentine duo—decided to keep going with the project.
Manshines, released in 2011 by ZZK Records, was the second and last album with Fauna’s original line-up and for its promotional tour Un Mono Azul took the empty spot on the mic. Two years later Fauna is back, ready to drop their third opus, this time under El Flying Monkey netlabel (what’s going on with this current exodus of ZZK artists?) and introducing a new vocalist: Arturo Gueglio a.k.a. ZAI.
“Llegamos” is the title of the first single off this new EP, All Plato, available worldwide starting next week. The video includes martial arts, roller girls, a cameo by El Remolón, and, of course, the jiggling butts of the F.L.O.W. Altas Wachas girls, which we saw recently in this other video. I’m sure Catar_Sys would be proud.
