The Brisk Bodega Altar de Muertos

The Brisk Bodega Altar de Muertos

In case you didn’t come up around this – or in case you just skipped this day in Spanish class – the day after Halloween is Día de Muertos. It’s the day to honor the homies that can’t be here today, except unlike Boyz n the Hood there’s more flowers and baked goods and less pouring your drink on the sidewalk.

Part of Día de Muertos is placing ofrendas on the altar – giving gifts of things the deceased liked when they were alive. Our altar is full of celebrities – naturally – so we wanted to honor them right.
