News: Dominican Rapper Monkey Black Murdered
Initial reports claim Dominican rapper Monkey Black was murdered yesterday in Barcelona, where he had been living for the past four years. According to local press, Spanish police report the rapper had been arguing with two Spanish nationals in a bar, as both parties involved ended up outside where sources say Monkey Black was stabbed seven times. The news has hit the Dominican hip-hop community hard with fellow artists Mozart La Para, Vakero, and music site Alofoke, among others, quickly expressing their grief via social media.
Monkey Black dies at the age of the 27 joining the likes of Kurt Corbain, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Amy Winehouse in the 27 Club.
