Tour da Arts, Vol 6 — Santa Monica Museum of Art
Take a break from your car this weekend and bike around Santa Monica for this unique event. The Santa Monica Museum of Art is hosting an artsy bike ride that will include a special performance, delish snacks and giveaways. This is the sixth annual bike tour and it will go from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 24th. Prepare for an interactive dance-along (with snacks courtesy of Whole Foods and Clif Bar) led by artist-composer Anna Oxygen. A few stops later, the tour will convene at the museum again for a raffle with goodies from Linus Bikes, Lucy sportswear and more. A great way to get a workout in and enjoy LA’s quirky cultural offerings.

Craft Club — MOLAA
Unlike Fight Club, you can definitely talk about what happens in Craft Club (we think). And that might include bragging to friends about your newfound artistic talent. Bring a ‘found book’ to MOLAA on Friday, August 22 at 7 p.m. for a unique workshop that will let you experiment with collage. Led by instructor Carmen Vargas, the workshop will take inspiration from Roberto Fabelo’s altered anatomy books; he draws on the surface of the books’ pages to create his own strange and hybrid creatures. The workshop is limited to 30 people and is $15 for non-members and $10 for members (including materials). In no time you’ll want to start your own craft club.
