Things had been a little quiet in Santo Domingo this year. Our dude Mediopicky (Pablo Alcantara) released a handful of remixes but, despite that, remained on the DL…and for good reason. Medio dropped a new EP of bangers today, called Sancocho, which he’d been working on for some time.
As he explained to us via e-mail, he had a larger vision for the album including some videos and collaborations with other artists. None of those collaborations panned out in time, dude grew frustrated, said “fuck it,” and released Sancocho anyway. It’s four tracks of trap, twerk, and bass just in time to drown out all the incessant Christmas jingles everywhere.
