Twin Shadow brings the slowly-unraveling glam-goth vibes for his newest video, “Turn Me Up.” The electro-bolero brings a previously unheard, synthetically-processed track with sweeping, heavy guitar licks and bass drops as George Lewis Jr. writhes around in negative space with underwater filters. It’s not confirmed whether “Turn Me Up” will appear on his follow-up to Confess on Warner Bros Records.
Twin Shadow explained, “‘Turn me up’, what’s that mean? I keep saying, Take more from me. Ask more of me. Give me more back. Stop fighting against the things you want the most.”
