Campo-Formio Get A Little Shoegaze Creepy On “Pelagius”

Puerto Rican trio Campo-Formio has done well for themselves this past year following the release of its debut LP, here comes…Campo-Formio!, in March. Their psychedelic/surf rock shenanigans never fail to get everyone on their feet to do that funky shimmy with the pointed fingers and such.

Oddly enough, there won’t be much shimmying to their latest single, “Pelagius,” off the aforementioned album. The track takes a psych rock/shoegaze direction clocking in at more than six minutes. It’s an interesting turn for the band and one they’ve admitted to focusing on for their next album, which they’ve described as heavy and antipathic. We can’t wait!
