Chuwi’s Lóren Aldarondo Is the Face of D29’s First Swimwear Collection

Lóren Aldarondo, the lead singer of the Puerto Rican quartet Chuwi, has partnered with Gabriela Berlingeri’s brand D29 for its first swimwear collection.
Formed in 2019, Chuwi consists of Lóren and her two brothers, along with a family friend that together make authentic Caribbean sound. The band most recently joined Bad Bunny on his sixth studio album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS for the song “WELTiTA.”
The collaboration between Aldarondo and D29 launched just in time for Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rico residence, where Aldarondo modeled several looks with D29 Swimwear and custom jewelry ahead of her performance.

In a press release by the brand, D29 states: “A wonderful project emerged between the D29 team and Lorén, and that’s why we decided to collaborate this weekend, the third weekend of the residency, and create three outfits using swimwear pieces and jewelry all by D29: a vintage green knit skirt and two cream lace skirts by designer YDL that commemorate Puerto Rican women.“
During the last few performances of Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican residence, Berlingeri and stylist Kathia Sánchez Ruiz styled Aldarondo in three looks that highlight Alderondo’s culture and identity through apparel and accessories. On Instagram, Berlingeri shared BTS photos of the shoot, along with images of the styling team helping Aldarondo get ready for her performance.
In the first look, Aldarondo is wearing a black bikini with a lace sarong, and a crystal-laden body chain. The body chain and crystal necklace looks are custom made for Aldarondo.

Day two featured another custom look for Aldarondo, including the print bikini from her “Lo Que Esconde el Sol” collection with Diciembre 29. Aldarondo is wearing a crocheted sarong, layered necklaces and arm bands.

And on Sunday (July 27) Aldarondo wears the Ragma one piece swimsuit from D29, along with custom jewelry and braid charms that appear to have been applied by Berlingeri herself.
