Pedro Pascal stepped out in “made to wade and slay” style at the Season 2 premiere of The Last of Us on Monday night (3/24) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The Chilean-American actor wore a complete ensemble from the Saint Laurent Men’s Winter 2025 collection by Anthony Vaccarello. The fit consisted of a structured tartan blazer with a blue turtleneck and a leather thigh-high pant-boot combo. The thigh-high leather boot combo resembled the utilitarian flair of fisherman waders and wade boots seen far and away from Hollywood’s red carpet, making the look all the more striking and up for debate: fierce or faux-pas?

Users on X were divided on the look. Some users virtually nodded in agreement to the drip and Pascal’s accompanying confidence.

Others were less than impressed, with one user commenting on his apparent readiness to go fly fishing, and another ready to give Pascal a style intervention.

Pascal also wore YSL to the world premiere of The Last of Us back in 2023, the same year he appeared in the luxury house’s debut film Strange Way of Life, directed by Pedro Almodóvar

You can see the Saint Laurent collection below with the thigh-high leather boots.

The Last of Us Season 2 premieres April 13th on HBO Max.
