No one knows how to celebrate beauty con cultura quite like us, Remezcla.

In partnership with Sephora, we threw an exclusive event to celebrate the launch of our beauty vertical. Packing Manhattan’s Triangle Loft with Latine beauty founders, journalists, and creators, the event offered attendees an intimate behind-the-scenes look at what’s to come from our newest vertical.

“This is more than just a vertical living on a dotcom. We are celebrating the power of diversity, inclusivity, and amplification of our voices within the community,” Remezcla’s Editor-in-Chief, Thatiana Diaz addressed guests. “Remezcla has always been committed to telling our stories, highlighting our culture and championing our identities. And now with the support of a major retailer like Sephora, we’re taking this to the level it deserves.”

“This partnership can’t be overstated. It’s about more than just placing products on shelves, it’s about creating space for our narratives. It’s about ensuring that our communities feel seen, heard, and valued from the aisles to the media we consume,” she continued.

Officially launched on International Women’s Day, March 8, the beauty vertical will collaborate with Latine beauty journalists and creators to tell distinctive stories around cultural tentpoles, lifestyle intersections, beauty-centered award shows, and so much more. The beauty vertical, presented by Sephora, will also feature a few of our Major Mujeres sharing their go-to beauty products that inspire and empower them.

Every corner of the loft captured a moment. From a photo opportunity in front of a life-size, gold nameplate chain spelling out the word “Beauty,” to selfie-worthy bathroom mirrors with motivational mantras to savory, specialty cocktails, no aspect of the invite-only event was overlooked.

Setting the vibe for the event was DJ Bembona, who offered attendees soundscapes to enjoy while they received complimentary touch-ups at the vanity stations. With Latine make-up artists and hand-selected products by Sephora, guests were able to enjoy makeup products – for cheeks and lips – like, Rare Beauty, Merit, Tower 28, YSL, Sephora Collection and Makeup Forever.

“A beauty vertical dedicated specifically to Latine beauty stories feels like a breath of fresh air,” said attendee Caroline Gonzalez. “It’s refreshing to know that the beauty of our community and culture is being celebrated the way it deserves to be. Beauty is so deeply rooted in our history and it’s time to embrace it.”

Inspired by the grit and glamor of the underground music scene, the event brought out guests from all industries. Some in attendance were beauty founder Magdaline Hurtado Rosario, fashion designer Gabriela Lunna, YouTube star Ivy Rivera, Peloton instructor Camila Ramón, Love Is Blind season 3 alum Nancy Rodriguez, and musician Cristna.

Wrapping up the night was an intimate performance by Venezuelan singer-songwriter Musiana. The Miami-based crooner played 5 songs off her new album, “Son Del Mar” as listeners gathered around a cozy rehearsal-inspired stage. After her set, Musiana had a quick fireside chat with Diaz about all things beauty, including her first Sephora purchase: A bright red lipstick.
