adidas Originals and the LA-based streetwear brand MENACE are teaming up for a special collaboration. Both brands reworked one of the sneaker’s most iconic silhouettes, the Superstar, to celebrate Latine heritage this month. It also aligns with MENACE’s 12th anniversary.
The new collaboration, officially called “adidas x MENACE Superstar,” is an ode to Los Angeles and MENACE’s founder and CEO Steven Mena’s Latine roots. “At the core of who I am is my Latino roots. My Latin-American upbringing. My community. That’s the foundation,” he said in a press statement. “That’s where the weight lives and will always live. But I’ve always been open to different voices, different sounds, different worlds because they expand me. They shape how I see things. They help me grow.”
He continued: “So, while my roots ground and guide me, I love that other cultures have helped shape my consciousness. They’ve helped me become who I am. Through everything I make, what I want to show is the story of someone deeply rooted in where they come from but never closed off.”
The new collaboration highlights the word MENACE on the front with a satin effect. It also features a pink inner colorway that’s a tribute to Mena’s mother and her favorite flower – a rose – “honoring the sacrifices immigrant parents make to pave the way for their children,” per the official press release.

The adidas x MENACE Superstar will be up for sale at $130 USD via the adidas CONFIRMED app starting on October 21, 2025. Building on the momentum, adidas and MENACE are also hosting a pop-up event on Saturday, October 18, where attendees can expect a live DJ set and footwear available for purchase.
