If you follow, Alex Rodriguez on Instagram, then you know he’s Jennifer Lopez’s No. 1 fan. He regularly posts photos and videos, where he explains how proud he is of his fiancée. On Tuesday, he posted a throwback video that proves he’s always known what makes J.Lo special.
The video, from 1998, an interviewer asked him, “What would a dream date with Alex Rodriguez be?” Instead of talking about location, mood lighting, or an activity that would make a date stand out, ARod had a simple response: “Jennifer Lopez, hopefully you can find me a date with her.”
In the caption, ARod wrote, “I just had a feeling ?”
J.Lo, who was charmed by the video, left him a comment: “OMG… i love this too much ♥️♥️♥️”
As it turns out, their first date took place almost two decades later and included some bathroom texting. J.Lo told Ellen DeGeneres that while they were getting to know each other, he went to the bathroom for a second. Before he comes back to the table, her phone rings and she realizes it was a message from ARod. “He’s walking back toward the table and I see him coming and my phone beeps, and I think it’s my girlfriend and I look down and he goes, ‘You look sexy AF,’” she said. “And I was like, ‘OK!’”
