Amy Schumer Staged Her Own Version of ‘Hamilton’ For Lin-Manuel Miranda In This Hilarious Clip

Like the majority of the world, Amy Schumer is a Hamilton head. But unlike most people, Schumer decided to stage her own version for Lin-Manuel Miranda in a new teaser for the sixth season of Inside Amy Schumer. “Oh my god, my sister and I saw it and we were flipping out,” she tells him. “But then I thought, like, I can do that. You know, I thought, how hard is it to write a hip-hopera about historical wig-and-knee-sock people.”

Schumer decides to base her play on Betsy Ross and her flag making skills. But unlike Miranda, who spent at least 7 years working on his wildly successful play, hers is a hilarious, historically inaccurate mix of wack rap and pop song covers that sounds more like a musical segment from Drunk History. And yet, I’d still 100% watch it.
