During a Bad Bunny concert in San José, California, on March 4, a young girl named Zenaida sat on her father’s shoulders in the crowd singing along to the music and having the time of her life. She also held up a sign that caught the attention of the reggaeton superstar.

The sign read: “I overcame cancer with the help of your music. We are fine.”

It was the second concert Zenaida and her family attended in as many nights. While we’re sure both concerts were memorable for Zenaida, it’s probably going to be the second one that she remembers the most. After leaving the stage, Bad Bunny saw Zenaida holding her sign and stopped to appreciate her heartfelt shoutout to him.

First, Bad Bunny looked at Zenaida and put his hands to his heart. Then, he made a heart sign with his fingers, blew her a kiss, and waved to her as he walked backstage. It was a sweet moment for Zenaida who smiled from ear to ear.

“First, I want to thank God for all the blessings for my daughter and my family,” Zenaida’s father posted on Instagram. “Music is medicine and has helped Z so much. God bless you all and may God continue to bless each and every one of you with good health and success! For all the kids fighting cancer, keep fighting! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”

Zenaida’s father posted that she has one more surgery coming up and that Bad Bunny’s kind gesture has helped lift her spirits. It lifted ours, too.
