Bad Bunny is once again adding to his adidas sneaker collection. The world-renowned icon has revealed a new version of the brand’s Response CL shoe called Triple Black.

According to an adidas press release the new sneakers are inspired by the concept of the brand’s “melting” aesthetic and offer a redesign of the sneaker’s classic style of the 2000s. The adidas logo and part of the heel and midsole are the only areas of the shoe that have a blue color to it.

“Benito’s take on the silhouette seeks to reinvent the world of running by taking it to the streets and achieving it in a way that only he knows how,” the press release reads. “The Triple Black shows us how the ‘melted’ leather overlays represent the fluidity and freedom that characterizes our artist.”

The first time Benito created a new Response CL silhouette with adidas was last year when he released “Yellow” and “Cream White” options. Adidas reintroduced the Response CL in 2020, so when Benito modified the silhouette last year, he was the first major celebrity to do so. The vintage look of the sneakers had several outlets referring to it as a “dad shoe.”

The Triple Black Response CL release on June 24, 2023. Customers can purchase the sneakers at the store, online, on the adidas app, and at BadBunny.com. The cost of the sneakers is $160.

Bad Bunny’s partnership with adidas started in 2021 with “The First Café,” his take on the Originals Forum Buckle Low sneaker. Since then, Benito has collaborated with the brand on several sneakers, including “Easter Egg” and “Ice Cream.”
