Production on the second season of the NBC comedy series Lopez vs Lopez is finally underway. The youngest of the cast members, Brice Gonzalez, who plays George Lopez’s grandson on the sitcom, posted photos on Instagram from behind the scenes that included a beautiful message to his father, Randy, who died nearly a year ago from colon cancer. He was 35.

“Here we are again DAD,” the message reads. “Thank you for everything that you’ve taught me and for giving us the best of you.”

Gonzalez also thanked his mom for “Being our ROCK” and thanked his sisters, Aubree and Lauren, for “being the best big sisters in the world and putting up with me.” He ended the message by thanking the fans for their love and support. “Coming back stronger and harder!”

In two of the three new photos posted, he is seen in his dressing room wearing a white tank top, dark jeans, and black and white sneakers. In another, he’s posing outside of the studio with a huge Lopez vs Lopez sign hanging above him on the building. He also posted a group photo of himself, his dad, and his sisters.

Before he branched out into Lopez vs Lopez and the 2023 film Flamin’ Hot, Brice and Randy were best known as the Enkyboys on TikTok. The father-and-son duo posted comedy skits, which racked up millions of views. Currently, their TikTok brand boasts 16 million followers.

Lopez vs Lopez was renewed for a second season last May after the Writers Guild of America strike started. Season 2 was initially ordered for 13 episodes but has since been cut back to 10. The first season featured 22 episodes.
