There are not too many things that are cuter than a baby Bruno Mars, the Elvis impersonator. That’s likely why back in June, the superstar shared an image of himself from 1989 on his social media accounts for Way Back Wednesday. But apparently, the photographer who took the photo way back when isn’t happy it was used without her permission.

According to TMZ, photographer Catherine McGann is suing Peter Gene Hernandez and his label, Warner Music, for using the copyrighted image. The image received more than a million likes and 15,000 comments on Instagram alone, though it doesn’t appear as if it was used in promotional materials. We can understand her frustration. The work of photographers and other artists is often used inappropriately online. But without all the facts (and a law degree), it’s hard to say if she’s in the right.
