On Thursday (April 14), Cardi B posted the first clear images of Wave online after recently returning to Twitter and Instagram.
In the photos, Baby Wave is sitting in an infant seat decked out in a baby blue puffer jacket with faux fur collar, a matching beanie, stylish sweatpants, diamond earring, and a silver chain with a massive pendant. The pendant, which features a blue shark riding an orange surfboard on a silver wave, is also blinged out with the name “Wave” on the wave’s crest.
Cardi B didn’t include a comment with the photos, but she did post three emojis – a dinosaur, ocean wave, and a teddy bear.
On Twitter, she added: “When Set suggested Wave, I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME!”
An hour after Cardi B posted the photos online, she dropped another post of the cover of Essence magazine featuring the entire family, including her, Offset, Wave, the couple’s first child, 3-year-old Kulture, and Offset’s three other children, Jordan, Kody, and Kalea, from his prior relationships.
“Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen for me and our family,” she wrote. “I love having a huge family with all of our kids and I’m grateful that we are making our blended family work.”
Last month, Cardi B called out some of her fans who were upset that she posted a zoomed-in photo of Wave when someone commented that, “…We ain’t seen him yet.” We jest, but it turns out it wasn’t that she didn’t want anyone to see Wave. It’s just that Essence had the exclusive and she wanted him to come into this world with a hell of an introduction.
