Cardi B wasn’t very happy last week when a DJ at a club she was partying at gave a shout-out to a hip-hop artist that Cardi B has had some bad blood with in the past.
On Wednesday night (May 11), Cardi B made an appearance at the Wonderland nightclub in New York City with her husband Offset and a small entourage. While she was drinking a beer inside the club, the DJ gave a shout-out to Nicki Minaj.
“Shout out to Nicki Minaj in the muthaf—-n’ building, let’s go!” the DJ yelled while he played Minaj’s 2022 song “Do We Have a Problem?” for the crowd. “Nicki, let’s f–k it up. Let’s go!”
Although she didn’t initially react, Offset and a member of her entourage looked visibly annoyed by the announcement. A video of the incident then shows Cardi B jumping on the mic to respond to the DJ’s message.
“Who is in the building tonight?” Cardi B asks. “Cause we want all the fucking smoke, ya heard? We getting dangerous tonight? DJ, are we getting f—ing dangerous tonight?”
The following day, she commented more about the incident on Instagram Live. There, she said that the whole thing was a “set up.”
“Motherf—as was tryin’ to set me up,” Cardi B said. “Let me tell y’all something. I handle my business in real life.”
She continued by saying that the footage that was shot inside the club was taken with “professional cameras.” She also criticized her Bardi Gang for not defending her when she is attacked online and for not knowing the entire story.
Let’s hope Cardi B’s next night out is drama free.
