Your wedding is supposed to be a day to remember. That’s probably more so the case if the wedding itself is a surprise and Cardi B is the guest officiant.
That’s exactly what happened to one fiancée: Shannon, who thought she was going to her engagement party. Instead, Brandi – her bride – enlisted the help of Cardi B and Raven-Symoné for this surprise wedding, with the “WAP” rapper as the officiant. The moment formed part of Cardi B and Messenger’s limited-series Cardi Tries.
In the show, Cardi takes on a different challenge every episode, from teaching preschool to rhythmic gymnastics to officiating weddings. The entire episode is available today, ahead of National Coming Out Day on Monday. It features not just the wedding but a conversation between the stars and the brides about the challenges same-sex couples face.
Cardi B promoted the episode on Twitter, writing, “LOVE… Me and @RavenSymone are helping a happy couple say ‘I do.’”
In one recent episode of Cardi Tries, the music artist headed to La Casita Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles with chefs Jamie Martín Del Campo & Ramiro Arvizu. They taught Cardi and model Indya Moore traditional recipes with Mexican, Dominican, El Salvadorean, and Peruvian food notes, in which Cardi tries her hand at cooking Latin American cuisine.
