Last week, Officer Charlie Rispoli made a disturbing comment about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Facebook, and it cost him his job.

The Gretna, Louisiana cop reportedly posted an inaccurate article about AOC (which said that the Congresswoman thought the United States paid the military too much) and wrote, “This vile idiot needs a round…….and I don’t mean the kind she used to serve.” According to WWL-TV, Rispoli was fired over the weekend, and so was Angelo Varisco, an officer who liked the post.

“This incident, we feel, has been an embarrassment to our department,” said Police Chief Arthur Lawson said. “These officers certainly acted in a manner which was unprofessional.”

Rispoli posted the comment on Thursday, but had apparently deleted it by Friday.
