If you’re an artist and you’re in Corpus Christi, paying tribute to Selena is a must. During New Kids on the Block’s stop in Corpus for its The Mixtape Tour, the group asked the audience to sing and dance along to “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.”

Before honoring Selena, Donnie Wahlberg said, “Everybody put one finger to the sky. Not only are we deep in the heart of Texas tonight. We are deep in the heart of Corpus Christi, home of a fallen angel from this amazing city. Let’s sing this one for her.”

The stage featured an image of Selena, and NKOTB invited a fan to sing along to the song.

Selena’s older sister, Suzette Quintanilla, was in the audience – though the group had no idea. “When you play a concert in Corpus Christi Texas and you do a tribute to an angel – Selena – without even knowing that her wonderful sister Suzette @suzettesyld – an angel herself – is standing in the front row. Then you see her in the front row and time literally stops!” he wrote on Instagram. “I am so humbled by this moment. So blessed to have been a part of this moment.”

Suzette was similarly ecstatic about the meet up.

A few days later, Suzette and the Quintanillas sent NKOTB some Selena swag.
