For the past 10 years, Celebrate Mexico Now has been the first and only NYC festival dedicated to contemporary Mexican arts and culture. Last year they helped put electro goth-y witch Selma Oxor on our radar, and blew our minds with a Carnegie Hall tribute to Chavela Vargas that featured Ely Guerra, Eugenia Leon and Tania Libertad.

This year marks the festival’s 10th anniversary and they’re planning on the biggest celebration yet! Founder and director Claudia Norman is asking for the public’s support to help fund the amazing events that Celebrate Mexico Now has in store for NYC.

Starting September 12th, NYC venues from Lincoln Center to Joe’s Pub, will be infiltrated with Mexican visual artists, writers, musicians, chefs and filmmakers bringing the best of contemporary Mexico to NYC and the rest of the World. This year has over 60 films screening, more than 30 world premieres, 50+ musical performances with past performers including Natalia Lafourcade, Dapunto Beat, Lila Downs and more!
