Demi Lovato is open about her previous struggles with eating disorders. In a video she uploaded to Instagram on Monday (March 1), the singer is celebrating finding out she lost some weight–without any dieting or obsessing about calories.

“Accidentally lost weight,” Lovato wrote in a caption within the video. “I don’t count calories anymore. I don’t over exercise anymore. I don’t restrict or purge. And I especially I don’t live my life accordingly to the diet culture.. and I’ve actually lost weight.”

In the posted video, she can be seen tugging at her waistband, which is now loose.

“This is a different experience,” she added. “But I feel full. Not of food but of divine wisdom and cosmic guidance.”

The former Disney child star has been very open about her struggles for the past few years, and recently opened up about how her recent drug overdose caused brain damage after experiencing three strokes, and a heart attack in the hospital. Now, she has turned her platform into speaking up so that other girls, especially younger girls who are fans of hers, don’t go through what she did.

Lovato reminded her fans that it’s important to “accept themselves as they are,” but that “they should remember that what others share online might not reflect reality.”

She also apologized for her previous use of filters that altered her appearance. Saying, “How are teens supposed to learn to accept themselves (with) this shit.”

“Thank God I’m realizing this now,” she added to the message. “And I’m sorry for using them (without) realizing how dangerous they were before.”
