Encanto’s popularity is hard to deny. The Disney movie won Best Animated Feature at the 2022 Academy Awards. The hit song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” was also performed at the ceremony with Megan Thee Stallion joining on stage to add a remix. Now, a viral video is bringing more love to the animated movie.

Mauro Castillo, who voices Felix in Encanto, met a young fan with Down Syndrome and what followed was pure, wholesome magic. The Encanto star started to sing his part of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” as the girl, the daughter of Twitter user Eric Jensen, stood still and smiled and laughed all throughout.

The video has garnered more than 700,000 views on Twitter with fans of the movie pouring love all over the voice actor and singer. And viewers were treated to a sweet moment that we rarely see, an actor taking his time to make a young fan’s day exceptionally brighter.

Twitter users are also celebrating the fact that Castillo was recognized by the father and daughter for his role in the movie. It is easy to recognize someone who you have seen on the screen but to be able to pinpoint a person who was a voice actor is a whole other level of respect and fandom.

This moment shows the power that art can have on anyone’s life. And it’s also a testament to the true might of authentic storytelling and how it’s able to bring audiences into a space they’ve never experienced before; giving them a chance to watch in the shoes of another.

Bien hecho, Mauro Castillo! Now we’ll all have this song stuck in our heads all day!
