Panamericana, the title of Federico Aubele’s latest album (2007) only begins to hint about the musical ride this Argentino likes to take you on. This album includes a Mexican Bolero, a Tango, Afro-Cuban Son, a Colombian cumbia and some Hip-Hop. The album was produced in Europe outside of his native Buenos Aires and sings like an ode to his memories of home. Aubele will be playing live in north side at Martyr’s (Lincoln & Irving Park), this is one of Aubele’s most extensive tours across the U.S and promises a solid live performance. Expect him to introduce new music from his EP La Esquina, described as a tropical syncopated remix. Check out his show tonight and report back what you thought about the skinny guy with the fro.
