Filmmaker Alejandro Gómez Monteverde’s father and brother were kidnapped and killed in Tamaulipas, Mexico, according to E! News. Juan Manuel Gómez Fernández and Juan Manuel Gómez Monteverde were kidnapped more than two weeks ago when they were leaving their home, and despite receiving a ransom on their behalf, kidnappers still killed the two. Fox News Latino reports that the area is known for violence between Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel. Early research indicates that the two men suffered head trauma.
Alejandro, who is married to actress Ali Landry, is known for Little Boy and Bella.
