Adriana Lima is returning to the company that made her a household name more than two decades ago. The 41-year-old Brazilian supermodel has rejoined the Victoria’s Secret lingerie brand and will now be the spokesmodel for its new fragrance, Heavenly Eau de Parfum.
“I’m so excited to be working with Victoria’s Secret again, the brand has always been like family to me,” Lima said in a statement. “Being the face of this iconic campaign and fragrance is so special because it beautifully compliments a woman’s radiance, which is symbolic of Victoria’s Secret’s inspiring mission of celebrating every woman. It was amazing being on set again with everyone, and we had the best time bringing this message to life through this timeless fragrance.”
Lima became a Victoria’s Secret model, also known as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, in 1999 and represented the brand until 2018. Her 19-year run with the company made her the longest tenured model for Victoria’s Secret. She was named the most valuable Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2017.
“Reunited and it feels so good,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a video that features her on camera spraying the new perfume. In the video she also says, “I am back to my family. I miss you guys.”
Some of the feedback from fans online included comments like, “The icon is back,” “The queen has arrived,” and “You guys better give her the biggest wings you can make,” which references the prop wings many Victoria’s Secret Angels would wear when walking the fashion runway.
Heavenly Eau de Parfum is described by Victoria’s Secret as “luminous and warm” and a scent “created to capture the inner strength and radiance inside of every woman.”
