We’ve always been big fans of Peruvian folk group Kanaku y el Tigre, so imagine how excited we got when early last week the group put up a big portion of their catalog on SoundCloud…for free. So you can get their lovely debut Caracoles for nada, as well as some other deep, deep, deep cuts. Apparently back in the early aughts these earnest troubadours used to go by the name Ritalin in a, cough cough, punk band (?). The opening lyrics for one of the tracks are: “Aquí vienen los chicos malos / Aquí vienen los retardados.” We all make mistakes.
