San José shoegaze duo Saturno Devorando has released a new full-length that’s FREE to download. The English-language Sans Soleil is a washed-out, winding journey replete with stone-faced sensuality, drone, and despair.
The album shares its title (meaning “Without Sun” or “Sunless”) with the 1983 Chris Marker film. Its sunlessness is evident in singer Fiamma Aleotti‘s affect-less voice and Ronald Bustamante‘s aimless and disruptive instrumentation. It’s simultaneously comforting and disturbing.
