George Zimmerman Wants You to Spend $50 on His Crappy Confederate Flag Art

George Zimmerman, who may be the worst of us, has created a painting of a Confederate flag to help him raise money for “legal funds” because he can’t stay out of trouble. The money will be split between Zimmerman, who tragically killed unarmed teen Trayvon Martin in 2012, and the owner of The Florida Gun Supply store, Andy Hallinan. The store is selling prints of the painting for $50, which is cray. The suggested retail price is $97 for something that’s both racist and shitty.

Zimmerman was originally painting an American flag when he heard of Hallinan’s legal issues. “The caption ‘the second protects the first,’ is a double entendre,” Zimmerman said. “The first flag I painted on this canvas was an American flag, but I decided to repaint over it with the Confederate flag when I heard Andy was getting sued by the [Counsel for American/Islamic Relations]. The second flag I painted was the Battle Flag – which we need in America in order to protect the first.” The shop page answers a lot of questions, including “isn’t the Confederate flag racist?” Their argument is that you can’t judge one group by a few people. Yet, according to the BBC, Hallinan said his gun store was a “Muslim-free zone” in July. You can decide for yourself how that’s not racist, because we’re not seeing it.

The Florida Gun Supply also released a 10-minute video, which we really tried to get through but couldn’t for fear of permanently damaging our eyes. But the video did teach us that Obama was elected president and never held a “real job” before.
