We’re throwing a party tonight, NYC, and we want you there. It’s not just a party, either, but a social action – a civic duty, if you will. Only appropriate to hold it on election day, huh? It’s a total DAY OF ACTION!

Hurricane Sandy affected us all last week, but as most of us get back to something close to normal, we can’t forget those that aren’t so lucky.

So this Election Day, take your  citizenship one step further and join us to celebrate and give back. Vote in the morning, and then come out to SOB’s in the evening with your donations for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Watch the election unfold live on two screens, and dance to some of New York’s best Latin DJ’s, including Remezcla favorites QUE BAJO?! – that’s our thanks to you.

Contribute to the US’ future, and help make the future brighter for less fortunate New Yorkers.

All donations will go to Occupy Sandy. (Monetary donations will be used to purchase needed items to donate to Occupy Sandy.)

GEE REMEZCLA, THIS SOUNDS GREAT!
I READ THIS AND RSVP’D ON FACEBOOK IMMEDIATELY!
WHAT DO I DONATE?

We’re super glad you asked. Occupy Sandy currently has NO NEED FOR GENERAL CLOTHING ITEMS. That means if you were thinking of donating clothing, you’re awesome, but there have in fact been so many awesome people donating clothes that it would make you even more awesome if you picked something else. What kind of “something else”? Below is list of Occupy Sandy’s urgent needs.

  • Candles
  • Flashlights
