Guacamole is good. Cheese is good. But are they supposed to co-exist inside one blended gouda package? The Fresh Market is betting they are, because on May 1, it’ll launch the Amanti Guacamole Cheese, a Dutch gouda mixed with avocado, lime juice, chili, tomato, onion, and garlic.
The green-hued cheese “has a smooth texture and rich creamy guacamole taste,” according to a brand rep. The chain’s 161 supermarkets will sell the guaca-cheese, which retails for $24.99 a pound, for a limited time.
