Aiala Hernando takes playing with food to other levels.

Who: Aiala Hernando is a professional food & lifestyle photographer and stylist a.k.a one of the coolest jobs ever. Born and based in San Sebastián, Spain, her expertise has taken her around the world (mostly London and NYC) where she has created one-of-a-kind works in some of the top magazine in the world, including Conde Nast Traveler and Vogue Magazine.

Why You Should Follow Her: She makes dishes and their preparation look so good, I might actually think about cooking-that is a feat in itself. Aiala’s eye is so crisp and keen, and her use of colors using natural ingredients is very inspiring. I love how she uses shadows and light to turn a simple dinner setting or mug of coffee into a moment in art. Also cats and avocados- there’s a lot of both.

'So Sorry' piece from Emotional State series. Emotional State is an artwork series created as a contemporary and disruptive interpretation of the classic @Rijksmuseum floral paintings. These three works capture different scenes of our contemporary lives, and turn the illusions depicted in the Golden Age into tangible imperfect moments, revealing intimate scenes of our modern lives. Each photograph's unique name is a reference to the message cards that often accompany the flowers, perhaps those gifted by someone as a symbol of love, hope or regret. The images capture some apparently irrelevant emotional states of a person's life, which become meaningful only when we see ourselves immersed in the moment itself. The Rijks Exhibition can now be seen at Public House of Art @publichouseofart in Amsterdam. #aialahernando
