JLo Shares Emotional Tribute to Celebrity Hairstylist Jesus Guerrero

JLo shared an emotional tribute on Instagram to celebrity stylist, Jesus Guerrero, following his sudden and unexpected death this past weekend at the age of 34.
On Tuesday (January 25), the Grammy Nominee posted a black and white photo of Guerrero to Instagram with the following caption: “Jesus,” begins the caption, “It’s no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesus. You were gentle and kind and loving, quiet and unassuming, but so powerful, and your presence was felt the minute you walked into any room. You never demanded the spotlight. You never needed to make a sound to be recognized, your heart and your talent did that as effortlessly as you (sic) artistry did.“
She adds “I’ve been having trouble putting the words together the last few days. The truth is I’m still in shock that such a beautiful young life has come to an end. It seems senseless and unfair. I know your family is brokenhearted as am I and everyone else who knew you. I’ve been having trouble putting the words together the last few days. In concluding her statement, she adds “It seems senseless and unfair. I know your family is brokenhearted as am I and everyone else who knew you…💔”
An outpouring of support was received for the revered stylist, who has worked with several celebrity clients including Kylie Jenner, Rosalia, Anitta, Thalia, and JLo herself.
Days before his untimely death, Guerrero was allegedly with JLo in Dubai. She published a series of pictures on her Instagram page and tagged Guerrero in the post.
There has been speculation surrounding Guerrero’s death, namely his final days with JLo. This seemingly led to JLo restricting her comments on IG. She hasn’t commented on the Dubai trip that they were on together. And the tribute to the stylist was her first public statement regarding his passing.
While no official cause of death has been revealed, Guerrero’s family has shared updates on his GoFundMe campaign, which states that his passing came “very suddenly and unexpectedly.”
On Tuesday (January 25), the family published an update, sharing appreciation for the support that has been received, including a donation made by Kylie Jenner to cover funeral expenses. The family shared that the donations received through the fundraiser will go towards securing his belongings back home to Houston and the unexpected expenses to settle his assets. The update concludes with a statement about navigating these next few months and honoring his legacy.
“Our mother will be taking time off to ensure that everything gets taken care of and so that she can greave properly because a mother should never have to bury her child.”
