More than a year after a successful Broadway run, John Leguizamo’s taking Latin History for Morons around the country. The play – inspired by the erasure of our communities in history books – covers about 3,000 years of history.

“I grew up without seeing people who looked like me on screen, on stage, or in textbooks,” John Leguizamo said, according to Broadway Direct.  “Latinx people have been kept outta the conversation for centuries, and it’s ‘bout time y’all hear what we gotta say! No matter who you are, this is your chance to come out and finally get your degree from a ghetto scholar!”

On June 20, he’ll begin a 12-state tour, starting with performing at the Apollo Theater in New York before heading to New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Connecticut, and Michigan. He’ll then end with a seven-week run at Los Angeles’ Ahmanson Theatre, according to NBC News.

There’s a version of the show available on Netflix currently, so if you can’t make it to one of his performances (you can buy tickets here), you can check out the performance there.
