Singer Karol G is expanding her portfolio into the footwear industry by collaborating with Crocs, a popular brand of foam clogs.
“Today is a reminder to all my fans to celebrate self-love,” Karol G said in a statement. “My collab with Crocs has been an amazing experience. It was such an honor to be able to work on the design and create the Jibbitz charms to truly express the message I wanted to come across when people saw them: LOVE, SELF-LOVE!”
The collaboration includes Karol G helping to create two different designs for the shoe company. The shoes will be known as the Karol G X Crocs Classic Clog and the Karol G X Crocs Mega Crush Clog. The Karol G X Crocs Mega Crush Clog, which retails for $110, features “an enhanced rubber tread, updated detailing around the outsole and a platform.” It comes with customized Jibbitz charms.
The Karol G X Classic Clog, which retails for $70, is her take on the classic clog and features a rose-colored base, barbed wire design and heart-shaped Jibbitz charms. It also comes with metal heart clips on the heel strap and safety pin charms.
“Karol G’s bold and brash style does work to a pair of Classic Clogs – as well as bringing her distinct personality to our all-new, jaw-dropping, heel-lifting Mega Crush Clogs,” the Crocs website reads.
In 2020, Crocs teamed up with Bad Bunny for his own pair of customized clogs. The shoes sold out in minutes. On Friday (February 18) at 9 a.m. PST, fans can visit crocs.com to enter a drawing for a chance to purchase the Karol G X Crocs collection.
