Kid Cudi has done it again. The artist attended the CFDA Fashion Awards wearing a custom-made wedding dress and the look has caught everybody’s attention. Of course, there are some haters in the bunch because people still believe that clothing has a gender. Yet, the world, especially in regards to fashion, is slowly and steadily walking away from the societal construct of the gender binary and accepting looks like Cudi’s.

Kid Cudi had a message for everyone while attending the red carpet. “Be yourself, be free baby.” With those five words, Kid Cudi unapologetically stated his intentions and we love to see it happen.

Fans were excited to see the rapper living without the same depression with which he spent years struggling. This isn’t the first time Kid Cudi wore a dress in public. Who can forget his Saturday Night Live performance when he wore a dress to honor the late Kurt Cobain? The moment was a nod to mental health.

People also took to Twitter to celebrate the outfit and to shout out the haters trying to bring Kid Cudi down. Because this person right here, they are living their best life, unbothered by what those around them think about the way he should dress to live his life. He forges his own path forward.

There is a lot of challenged and upset masculinity on the internet because of this dress. Fortunately, there are also people ready to call out the fragile masculinity that is being so loud over a piece of clothing and a person’s freedom to be themselves despite what others may think of them and what they wear. .
