Thursday, Sept 6 kicks off Fashion Week in NYC with Fashion’s Night Out, the worldwide celebration of fashion bringing designers, brands, consumers and celebrities together. We already gave you a guide to the best Latino events, designers and musica for the night of the 6th, but there are some Latino designers that are steaming up the Lincoln Center tents for the rest of the week. Amongst the array, some names from south of the border and overseas are causing a stir- so , if you’re a little fashion weak, we’ve put them all together to help you out. Make sure you check out their Fall 2012 collections and keep an eye out for photos of Spring/Summer 2013, which are showing this week!

Angel Sanchez

Angel Sanchez grew up with a passion for architecture, but he was also intrigued with the shapes of fabric and clothes design while growing up in Venezuela at his mother’s atelier. After studying and practicing architecture for years, he couldn’t resist his love for clothing and decided to combine them both, creating new shapes and proportions that look amazing on women. His dramatic eveningwear has a long list of fabulous celebrity fans, including Salma Hayek, Beyonce, Gisele Bundchen, Iman, Eva Longoria and many more. Rafael Cennamo

Rafael comes from an Italian-Venezuelan family and grew up dressing models and beauty queens while at his brother’s modeling agency. He studied couture design at IFAC in Miami, and his popularity grew fast enough to open his eveningwear couture in 2006. He’s known for his glamorous silhouettes and opulence, which lots of leading ladies in showbiz LOVE. Check the silhouettes below, and the rest of the Fall 2012 Collection here:

Supima with Eduardo Calvo and Natalia Yepes

The Supima show will probably be one of the most exciting events going on at the Lincoln Center, with the luxury cotton brand hosting its annual Supima Design Competition. For the competition, four of America’s top design schools were asked to select two finalists from among their graduating seniors. Each finalist was asked to create a capsule collection of women’s eveningwear gowns from Supima denims, knits, corduroys, twills, and shirting. Two of the finalists, the Spanish Eduardo Calvo and Colombian Natalia Yepes, were chosen from Savannah College of Art & Design and hope to win $10,000 at the end of the night. Carlos Miele

Carlos Miele is a Brazilan designer that is heavily influenced by his roots and varieties of urban environments, which make for a super diverse and interesting flavor to his designs. For the last few years, he’s worked in Paris, Sao Paolo, London and New York , and has been called the “master of fiery color and pattern.” A glimpse of his Spring 2012 collection is below, and you can see the rest here.

Gabriela Perezutti lives in New York City but her identity is deeply rooted in her Uruguayan ranching upbringing. Her style incorporates these equestrian and traditional gaucho influences and combines them with edgy elements inspired by the urban postmodern city in which she resides. Candela launched with a t-shirt line out of Brooklyn and since then, has continued to grow into a cult favorite. You can see some of her Fall 2012 collection below, and the rest here:
