Lin-Manuel Miranda and Audra McDonald Are a Broadway Dream Team on ‘Carpool Karaoke’

Ahead of Sunday’s Tony Awards, this year’s host, James Corden, traded the West Coast for New York City for the latest installment of his late-night show’s Carpool Karaoke. Beloved Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda joined Corden to get him ready for Broadway’s biggest night.

The two started off talking and rapping along to the hip-hop retelling of Alexander Hamilton’s life before picking up Broadway stars Jane Krakowski, Audra McDonald, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The group then belted show tunes, such as “Seasons of Love” from Rent, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” from Jersey Boys, and “One Day More” from Les Miserables.

And like a total theater head, Miranda geeked out about what went down on The Late Show with James Corden.
